The gallery tribal life is like an open courtyard in which dwellings units of Gond, Baiga, Saharia, Bhil and Korku tribes create a perfect neighbourhood. Space limit in this Gallery could allow creation of representative replicas of actual houses. The architectural skills, aesthetic approach to house building, interiors and use of natural resources have been displayed purposefully to give a glimpse into their dwellings. For examples, walls of Baiga dwellings were earlier made with some strong plant parts or grass. Later, they started making walls by using mud on bamboo grills and finally walls were made of mud and then bricks were used.
Earlier, leaves were used to make a roof top. Houses of some tribes have been represented by front portion and geographical dimensions. For example, dwellings of Bhil tribe are built on top of some small hillocks and are lonely existing. Similar landscape has been created. If visitors enter one house they find coming out from another house. Enter into Baiga's house and exit from that of Bhil's on a denuded hillock. Visitors are amazed to find the skillful use of wood and clay in the art of house building. The history of Madhya Pradesh has a copious mention of the possession of fortresses by Gond kings recreated . The Gallery has remains of a glorious fort of Gond kings. Visitors can experience it walking through it.
